Shel is just plain nice and helps out all around Nexus. She loves students, crunching numbers, organizing things and puts up with Pastor Donnie full time. Shelly is from Detroit, MI and her other full time job is being mommy to Cierra and David. Shelly knows sign language, loves to read, excercise, hang out, eat chocolate covered cherries and raisinets and she has her motorcycle license! Look for her at Nexus Oakmont Wednesday.

Matt is husband to Melissa and daddy to Hannah. Matt helps with audio and video stuff at Nexus. He also loves to hang out with students. Matt is level-headed, reserved and puts up with the antics of the entire staff and sometimes even contributes when nobody is looking. Matt can be pretty profound but you have to pay attention. There’s a rumor going around that he would do almost anything for wings from Quaker Steak and Lube. You could see Matt anywhere at Nexus, especially on Sunday nights behind the sound board.

Carrie is from Chambersburg, PA and is married to one of our good looking and incredibly talented Creative Arts Pastors, David Longstreth. She is also mom to Kylie and Braden. Carrie is the resident consultant on fashion and interior design, she keeps Pastor Dave looking good. Carrie is the brilliant mind behind some of our best staff videos like "Baby One More Time". Look for her at Nexus Oakmont Wednesday!

Is that a skateboard? Joy does not skate that we know of but is a Pittsburgh native and graduate of Penn Hills high school. Joy organizes, dramaticizes and sings. Joy is a joy to be around and it is apparent that she loves the name joy because she has a million things that say joy. When not being wife to Steve, mommy to Giavanna and DiMitri (is this family Italian?) Joy joyfully hangs out with joyful junior highers at Nexus Oakmont Wednesday.

Alea is a home-schooled Burgh native who loves to scrap-book. In addition to serving at Nexus you might be able to find her in the stands at Riverside softball game. She is wife to Will and mom to Jaelyn. Alea loves junior highers and you will find her at Nexus Oakmont Wednesday hanging out with them!

Debbie directs the Café on, that’s right, she makes sure you have junk food to eat every Sunday night! Debbie helps all over. Debbie is married to the older guy on our staff, has a daughter on staff and one that just graduated, Ali. Deb changes her hair color every week. Debbie is our shortest staff member but not the quietest. Don’t sit too close to her at a high school sporting event ... unless you have really good ear plugs. You may also see her gettin' pulled over by the Oakmont 5-0 for hot roddin' on her sweet scooter!

Curt works hard every week making sure that everything is set up right on Sunday nights at Nexus Oakmont. Curt is a Pittsburgh native and brings some multigenerational flavor to the staff. Curt loves sports ... all of them. He can also hold his own at Quaker Steak and Lube. If you watch carefully you might see Curt on the back of that little scooter. You might also see him crying at Nexus Oakmont Sunday.

Judi helps out all over but especially Wednesday nights at Nexus Mills. Judi is a true “Springdalien”. She is mom to two big football players. Judi loves Springdale and she loves students, especially the ones in Springdale. What would our staff be without equal representation from each side of the Springdale/Riverview rivalry ... ok, it’s a little lopsided but that’s ok.

He has a "toe thumb", yes, it's a thumb that looks like a big toe, you have to see it. It can be used as a weapon and doesn't fit into gloves and bowling balls. When he begins his career as a gladiator he can use his middle name "Antimo" as he pummels people with his thumb. You junior highers will see this Springdale grad (who has probably attended every school in the greater Pittsburgh area at some point) at Nexus Oakmont on Wednesday nights. Look for him on Sunday mornings at the Mills too!

Carl makes sure that everything is organized on Wednesday night Nexus services at the Mills.  Look for her at the front table over there. Carli is a graduate of Riverview High School and is currently attending CCAC. She is fortunate enough to have her parents on staff with her to make sure she is doing it right.  She also dates Alan.

Matt learned everything he knows from her.  So you aren't confused, Audra is Matt's sister. She helps out all over and smiles a lot.  Audra is a graduate of Riverview High School and is a nurse at Shadyside Hospital. She isn't into sewing except when it comes to wounds. She also makes awesome snacks and cookies.

Lord of the Rings, Age of Empires, #58 on the Riverview football team, Madden, football coach ... these are all things that come to mind when we think of “big Al”. Alan helps with sound and video stuff at Nexus. He looks like he is 30 and he makes us all laugh. Alan is a Riverview grad attending CCAC. Don’t hold your Subway footlong too close to him.

Before having a sweet little baby boy (Luke) with her very tall husband Lee, Brigitte taught Chemistry at Highlands High School. Need help with your chemistry homework? She has also been a swimmer, swim coach, swim teacher and someday plans to swim the English Channel, ok, we don't know that for sure but it sounded good. Say "hi" to Brigitte when you come in the door on Sunday nights at Nexus.

Ron is good at every sport, an expert as a matter of fact! He supposedly is even better at baseball. His wife Amy, son Ryland and new girl Addilyn let us swim in their sweet pool. Ron is a gym teacher... physical education director. You will see him at Nexus Mills blowing bubbles every week.

Crazy Candie is a Riverview graduate. Watch out giving her a hug lest she head butt you unconcious! Candace seems quiet but when it comes out it will pop your ear drums. She is actually very dangerous. Candace also remembers stuff well. Come see Candie at Nexus Oakmont Wednesday.
