Is the summer over? It’s been a great summer for Nexus. The fireworks tent was a huge success. We had more students than ever participate in Beach Escape, 55 students, 14 of which were baptized in the ocean. We are now looking forward to a great school year. Here’s how it’s starting off…
Nexus Fall Kickoff! Don’t miss our big startup night for this school year! Fill your car or minivan with students! They will have a chance to win some great stuff. We will also unveil the new Nexus Staff music video. The message that night will be especially designed for new students who may not have a relationship with Jesus - “7 Things God Hates About Religion”.
Nexus Oakmont Sunday – SENIOR HIGHERS grades 9-12 – SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7 @ 7PM
Nexus Oakmont Wednesday – JUNIOR HIGHERS grades 6-8 – WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10 @ 7PM
Nexus Mills – JUNIOR & SENIOR HIGHERS grades 6-12 – WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10 @ 7PM
Nexus September – This year’s theme is EPIC and we will be walking through the entire story of the Bible from beginning to end together as a student ministry. We will be using a really cool version of the Bible called “The Story”, reading it together through the year. Students can pick one up at Nexus for $8.
Parent Meeting – Come out, meet us and see what’s going on. We will get together at the RCC Oakmont sanctuary on Monday, September 22 @ 7pm.
Student Staff Meeting – Is your student on a ministry team at Nexus? Do they want to be? Maybe they are interested in coming early to help set up or tear down after Nexus. Maybe they would like to run sound or computer. Would your child be interested in being on the hospitality, worship or drama teams? Whether they are already doing ministry or are interested we want them to come to the Nexus Student Staff meeting on Monday, September 29 at Pastor Donnie & Shelly’s house at 201 5th St. in Oakmont from 7-8:30pm. We’ll feed you pizza. Sign up at Nexus.
