WHAT IS NEXUS?
Nexus is the student ministry of Riverside Community Church in Oakmont, PA, USA. You can learn more about Riverside at riversideconnect.org. Nexus serves students in grades 6-12 from all over the Pittsburgh area. Students have opportunities to participate in one of three weekly services. Throughout the year students are involved in retreats, missions trips, service projects, fun activities and more.
WHAT IS NEXUS ALL ABOUT?
Nexus Student Ministry is all about connecting students into a real and lasting relationship with God and connecting students into real and lasting relationships with each other.
We want students to think more deeply about life and spirituality. We’re not happy unless we’ve inspired you to explore new ideas and challenged some of your old ones.
Our goal is for each student to form a healthy, growing relationship with God through Jesus. That connection with God is the most important thing in life. Nexus challenges students to grow in their relationship with God through discipleship, personal time with God, worship, Bible study, interaction with others, clear messages from God’s Word, and ministry. It is also our goal for each student to form healthy relationships with other students. Life shared with others is an important part of the spiritual journey. Nexus challenges students to be connected to other students by having fun together, supporting and encouraging each other. We try to create an atmosphere where students can be real and build satisfying relationships.
